Home Run Derby champion Robinson Cano gets to hit eighth in the 2011 All-Star game. The line-up was posted by manager Ron Washington of the Texas Rangers. Eighth? What on earth was Ron Washington thinking?

Ron Washington, of course, had to post the AL lineup prior to Monday night's record-setting display by Cano, in which he hit 12 final-round home runs and 32 overall to outlast Boston's Adrian Gonzalez. Looking back you would think Washington might like a do-over.

Here is the American League lineup for the 2011 All-Star Game:
Jered Weaver will start on the mound for the American League.
Here is the National League lineup:
3. Matt Kemp CF
Roy Halladay will be the starting pitcher for the National League.
For the Yankees, catcher Russell Martin will be a reserve and relief pitcher David Robertson will be in the bullpen. Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez were named starters, but declined invitations, Jeter due to exhaustion and Rodriguez due to knee surgery. CC Sabathia also declined an invitation, as did closer Mariano Rivera.
For the Mets Beltran will be their only representative. Shortstop Jose Reyes was voted as a starter, but is on the disabled list with a hamstring injury. (Full rosters)
The game will be broadcast on FOX at 8 p.m. ET. Zachary's & Savannah Lounge will be broadcasting the game live! The bar and kitchen will be open for the game, come on down!
