Munch On A Festive Snack For St. Patrick’s Day!

East Meadow Shopping Center

Before you head out to Zacharys on March 17th for Saturdays Sizzle, make yourself a traditional Irish Snack!

Provided by ocregister.com are some delicious Irish meals that will have your taste buds step dancing.

Corned beef and cabbage- You can make the classic version of this traditional and popular dish, or you cook it in your crock pot!

Irish Soda Bread- The old world bread has a golden-colored crust on the outside, and a wonderfully moist consistency from within. If you’re going to prepare a loaf, be sure to make it the day before in order to enjoy all of the delightful flavors. Use butter and jam for your slice, pair it off with a warm cup of tea and you’re sure to enjoy an excellent pre-supper treat!

Irish Oatmeal- Festive meals don’t always have to take a long time to cook or bake. Irish Oatmeal is a quick and easy meal that’s low in sodium and calories, and has fiber to reduce heart disease.

Irish Whiskey Cake- Cake and Whiskey seem perfect as separate entities so you can only imagine how scrumptious the two are together. Microwave the lightly-browned cake that’s soaked in whiskey for 30 seconds, add a dollop of whipped cream, and you’ll be sure to believe you’ve found your pot of gold.
