Tonight, Thursday November 17^th is Ladies Night at Aura Light & Sound Suite in East Meadow, NY. 

Tonight’s special events feature the NY Jet’s game on the big screens in its entirety; a Fashion Show by Apparel Addiction and Hair Machine with XSport Fitness Party.

Ladies open bar is from 9:00-10:00pm with free wine and champagne as well as ½ price sushi until midnight.

 

Are you a sushi beginner? Here are a few things you may not have known about sushi. 

Not all sushi is raw fish. The presence of vinegared rice is what constitutes a sushi dish. No matter what the toppings are, raw or cooked, as long as the rice is there its considered sushi. 

Go light on the wasabi at first. The fluorescent green condiment should be applied to a piece of sushi in very small increments to determine your tolerance level. It is extremely spicy, so tread lightly! 

Never eat the purple tuna! Tuna at its freshest and healthiest should be a vibrant dark red color. If served a slice with a purplish tinge, do not even try to eat it. The coloring indicates compromised freshness and quality and could result in violent illness.

Chopsticks are optional when it comes to sushi. It is not considered rude to eat sushi with your fingers. There are several different accepted techniques to hold the pieces and keep them together with your fingers.
